Bixolon XM7 Printers - Connection Instructions - English


The steps to be carried out are the following:

Turn on the printer
Turn on the reader
From the reader, use the Menu button to enter the Main Menu, then Settings and finally Bluetooth.
Once in the Bluetooth menu, select the Scale/Printer option, and then select the Search option.
The reader will automatically search for nearby devices to which it can connect. Once these are identified, they will be listed appropriately for the user to select the correct one. In the case of Bixolon printers, they will appear with the Model name (Example XM7) and a device identification number.
Select the correct device
Select TYPE: Printer
Select printer type
ZPL ( Labels)
ESC/POS (Tickets)
Select the mode depending on whether you are wanting to print printers or tickets.
ZPL and ESC/POS are "languages" for the reader to communicate with your printer. Check the printer documentation or with your seller to see if the printer you want to use supports this language.
The printer will begin the Pairing process
The printer may display a PIN on the screen and the options Accept and Cancel. Please press Accept. If the printer does not display the PIN, skip this step.
Once it is completed, it will indicate a Pairing completed message
The Connection process will then begin
At this stage the printer may display a connection acceptance message, select the Accept option.
Once reached, it will provide a Connection Successful message.
The reader will ask you to indicate what task you want to perform. Select the IDExBLUETOOTH option to send the IDEs to the printer.
From this point you can start reading. Remember that you will be asked to configure your work session.

In future instances, you will simply have to proceed with searching for the device through the Settings/Bluetooth/Search Menu (steps 3 and 4).
When the printer is found, the reader will ask if it is the previously configured ZPL Printer. Upon confirmation it will automatically connect and skip to the step of selecting the desired task (step 13).


PRINT MENU

Once the reader is connected to the printer, this menu will be enabled in the Settings section.
It is advisable to verify these options before starting work with the animals, to ensure that the prints are as desired by the user.
Upon entering you can configure different features related to printing:

Impression

You can choose between different label sizes.
Soon you will be able to define your own size.


Date hour

You can choose to print the date/time on the label or not print it.

Number of copies

You will be able to determine how many copies the printer will make by receiving a completed reading.
